⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a great experience at Pep Boys. I needed help getting a tire mounted, and Steve and Blake were both excellent from start to finish. Communication was great, they kept me informed, answered my questions, and made the whole process quick and easy. Really appreciated how helpful, professional, and friendly they both were. It’s nice dealing with people who genuinely care about taking care of the customer. Definitely recommend this location, and a big thank you to Steve and Blake for helping me out!

My internet searches took me to Pep Boys in West Warwick for the RI Safety Emissions Testing and Comprehensive Vehicle Inspection of my vehicle. In two prior vehicle inspection cycles, I went to different vehicle inspection establishments that took an inordinate amount of time to complete said services. The internet reviews indicate that Pep Boys did these services in a quicker and efficacious manner. This location did not disappoint. I handed my keys to Blake at the service counter with my required documentation and approximately a half hour later, my vehicle was waiting for me with my paperwork and the inspection sticker affixed to the front windshield. Now that was impressive and made my day. Thanks to the folks at Pep Boys for the experience.

I went in with a failing radiator fan. Still working but needed a replacement. They call me back and quote me nearly $700 for parts and labor plus like 3 other random fees. The part was a 275% markup and they said it was 1.5 hours of labor. Its 2 bolts a plug and the fan pulls out slide the new one in put the two bolts back and plug it in. 30 minutes tops with a smoke break. Thats not even the part that pissed me off. Even though this was priced unreasonably high I said no thanks ill go elsewhere. I couldn't justify the cost even though the excuse was (well its the whole assembly not the fan) the assembly is a piece of plastic mind you When I picked the car up I opened the hood just to check to see if they put it back correctly. As they saod it was removed already I asked them to put it back in and I will come get it. THE RADIATOR FAN WASN’T EVEN PLUGGED IN! This was either carelessness or intentional. Neither is acceptable. If I didn't check myself my car could have overheated causing further damage. So not only are they price gouging the cant even be trusted to do a very simple job correctly. Unbelievable yet totally believable at the same time.

Went to Pep Boys on Saturday morning for new tires and an alignment… left with aligned wheels, restored faith in humanity, and apparently a part-time cameraman 😄 Right now I’m going through speech therapy for stuttering, so I currently communicate using writing only — basically operating in “silent mode.” I walked into the shop typing everything on my phone like a customer from the future. Blake immediately understood the situation, was patient, professional, and helped me get my tire change and alignment done quickly and smoothly. The car drives great now — steering wheel straight, ride smooth, no issues at all. But the funniest part came afterward. As part of my speech therapy homework, I have to do unusual social tasks and send reports to my doctors. One of those tasks was asking someone to record a video of me walking and pronouncing vowel sounds like: “A… E… O… U…” 😄 Imagine being Blake for a second: One minute you’re doing an alignment… Next minute some silent guy is asking you to film him making owl noises in the parking lot. And Blake actually did it. No awkwardness, no attitude — just genuine kindness and support. Took a few minutes out of his day to help a stranger

Awesome, fast, reasonable, friendly - can’t say enough about these guys! No one wants the nasty surprise of a deflating tire after a 12 hour night shift, but they made it all as painless as possible. Got me right in, out the door in an hour! This tired travel nurse far from home is very grateful and will absolutely be back if I have any other car needs while here in NJ - thanks again!
